5. Replace Interior Doors

Replacing your interior doors is without question one of the fastest ways to drastically improve the interior of your home without breaking the bank. Going from a basic, hollow core, builder grade interior door to a specifically chosen door that communicates your style and taste will transform the inside of the entire house. Putting solid core doors will not only look better, but significantly reduce the noise and sound from one room to the next. You will notice right away when you do not hear the washing machine or the television from the other room. You can typically retro fit your interior doors for $150-$400 per door depending on your selections. If you have 8 interior doors, you can probably get this done for under $2,000 while adding 3-4 times that amount in real value.
